We’ve also stepped up our visibility and have been more successful in getting people to talk with each other.”According to Pipkin, the MCEDC started out as a MooresvilleEconomic Development Commission in 1988, and morphed into a county-wide organization in 2003. “We plug into projects that fit our overall plan of action, which is, to improve the economic climate of the area with a priority to encourage current businesses to stay and expand, while making our county a more attractive option to new business,” said Sessing.
